Boson CMS

What are Modules?

Modules enable the Boson CMS to be extended or built to a custom-specification set by you. Common modules include an online shop or a document upload facility, but we regularly create bespoke modules to suit our client's specific requirements.

Am I limited to just these examples?

Not at all! You can have custom modules designed and built for your site. Some example modules include:

....in fact anything you could wish for on a web site.

General Page Module

The general page module allows you to create and edit the pages on your site.

The module utilises the HTML WYSIWYG editor TinyMCE to allow you to create web content for your pages without expert technical knowledge. The module also uses a sophisticated image manager to insert images easily.

The 'page management' control panel allows you to create new pages and navigation buttons quickly and easily.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) functions are built in, allowing you to edit page titles, meta keywords, and the meta descriptions for every page. Both html and XML sitemaps are automatically generated and updated with the information from your page management area.

News Module

The News module allows you to post topical articles to your website.

It features the same WYSIWYG functionality available in the page CMS.

Articles can be set to archive at a specific date, so your news page features recent and relevant news only. The archived news is available from a sub-menu on the news page.
